Hi there! My name is Scott Gasch and this is my homepage. What do you want to know about me anyway? I'm married to Lynn and we have a little boy named Alex. I've been working at Google since 2005. Prior to that I worked at Microsoft. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1998 with a B.S. in Computer Science. I live in Kirkland, WA USA. Here's my obligatory Facebook Page, blog, and Google profile.

In my spare time I like to program... You non-geek readers may find this a little strange but I like messing with computers so much that I do as a hobby as well as a job... I'm afraid it's true though. I've written an International Master strength chess playing program called typhoon along with some other miscellaneous tools.

I don't spend my whole life in front of a LCD, though... In the summer (the only time it stops raining around here) I like to camp and hike. In the winter I like skiing (downhill). Pretty much anytime I like to take photos... feel free to browse in my online photo album. Here's another page about some of my other hobbies.

Before I moved out to Seattle, Washington I lived in Blacksburg, Vinginia and Middletown, New Jersey. I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and spent some time in Buffalo Grove, Illinois too. My first computer was an HP-75C (if you can call that a computer, more like an oversized calculator). My Mom and Dad live in Lincroft, NJ. My sister Karen lives in NJ with her boy Daniel.
